The role in detail
As our Head of Sales at Gapps, you’ll lead the Essentials Business Unit’s sales — the core of our business, covering Google Cloud and Workspace services. Your job is to drive growth through structure, coaching, and collaboration, while staying hands-on enough to know what’s really happening with customers.
Roughly 75 % of your role is about leadership and development, and 25 % is about being close to the field: joining key customer discussions, helping close complex deals, and ensuring we focus on the right opportunities.
You’ll:
Lead and coach a five-person sales and customer success team, creating a shared rhythm and culture of accountability and success.
Build a predictable, value-based sales model with clear processes and goals.
Strengthen collaboration between Gapps’ business units – especially with our growing AI & Solutions team.
Work closely with marketing to create visibility and new demand.
Help shift Gapps’ focus from purely technology-driven selling to solving real business challenges through cloud and AI.
You’ll work most closely with Tuomas Hulkkonen, Director of the Essentials Business Unit (your manager), and collaborate with Marc Josefsson, our CEO, and the rest of Gapps’ leadership team.
Your first 12 months will look roughly like this:
30 days: Build trust with the team, understand our customers, and map the current sales process.
90 days: Identify key improvement areas and start introducing structure and rhythm.
6 months: The sales pipeline and quality of meetings improve visibly. Team confidence grows, and the new model and practices begin to take shape.
12 months: Sales is predictable, purposeful, and scalable, and you’re leading it fully independently.

Benefits & practicalities
Compensation: €100,000–€150,000 OTE (base + bonus), depending on experience and agreed compensation structure (typically between 50/50 and 70/30).
Bonus model: Currently based on a percentage of total gross margin from sales, with final details to be refined together with the selected candidate.
Location: Hybrid work from our Helsinki HQ in Kalasatama or remotely from anywhere in Finland. You must have an existing working permit in Finland.
